Or should I say “My life as Derek Zoolander….?”

I was asked to participate in a photo shoot last night as a model for the MALE Center/Aids Action Committee.

Hopefully one of my pictures will be used.

I must say that my skin was like “BUTTAH” after having my makeup done……no I am not going to start to wear foundation…..although it does end the bags and wrinkles……..

After the test picture (to test the light levels) they asked me if there was a wallet in my front pocket…..so I said “No I am just excited to be here...” So that set the tone for the evening.

Let me just say that it is harder than it looks. The photographer was fun and the staff made it enjoyable. But after 75 minutes of standing on my mark, head tilt left, smile!!!, soft smile, serious, tilt your head, cross your hands, hand in pocket, thumbs in pocket, hands in back pocket, serious, laugh side view, work it, work it work it….I was tired. It was fun though.

At one point the photographer told me to “Do an Austin Powers impersonation” (I made guns with my hands at the camera, and yelled yeah baby), then I had to do the peace sign, then I did my own thing.

They will be sending me a copy of all the pictures on a CD and hopefully I will appear on their 2007 media.

All in all it was a fun narcissistic evening!!!!
